#SystemsofSuccess

I’ve always had a passion to serve others and a belief that supporting people in achieving their success, would also be my success.
My Real Estate career began in 1998 when I took a position as a Development Coordinator for one of the largest developer/home builder teams in the Treasure Valley. I later moved into a Marketer and Escrow Assistant position in the Title Industry where I was able to use my experience and background knowledge from my previous role, while adding to my skill set by learning another facet of what would eventually become my full-time career. Real Estate is a dynamic, exciting field and I found that I loved being able to use my knowledge to assist others in finding their next home or investment.
During the downturn in the early 2000s, I took a position as a Property Manager and my desire to help others succeed shifted into something that was so deeply satisfying that I knew I had found my mission in life. During these years of managing real estate investment portfolios, I looked after each investment as if it were my own, providing ideas and processes to increase profits, especially during a time of tight margins and loss of values. While many of our peers were lamenting their losses, our team celebrated success.
It seemed a natural next step to become a Realtor with my local industry knowledge and ability to keep the best interest of the client as my top priority. I had no way of knowing that becoming a Realtor would turn out to be so much more for me.
I’ve had the privilege of meeting and assisting buyers, sellers and investors with all types of transactions in a wide variety of situations. Never could I have imagined I would be working with such a diverse group of people and personalities, from all walks of life. Whether a first-time buyer, a family that is upsizing or downsizing, relocating from another state, retiring, or investing, I strive to view each transaction through the eyes of my client. I respect that this may not just be a large financial undertaking, it may be a powerful or deeply emotional event in a person's life and it is my joy to support them as they navigate those waters.
Just the other day, I stopped by to visit a client's little farm to trade some garden goodies and meet a new member of their family (a little piglet named Ruby). As we stood looking at all they have achieved on the property in the year or so since purchasing , we chatted about their future plans. I made the comment “you guys are amazing” (follow on IG @ricketyoldfarm and I think you’ll agree). She looked back at me and said “Sheila, without you, none of this would have been possible” (insert big hug and a tear).
In this moment it came full circle. My client’s success IS my success and that is the value I bring. My desire to help others achieve their dream, is MY dream. It never gets old. It never loses its beauty.
This is what I get up for every day. This is my 'why'.
An Idaho native, I take pride in all this beautiful diverse state has to offer and enjoy sharing it with others. My “happy place” is our family cabin in the beautiful Idaho wilderness and use it as base-camp for all our mountain adventures. Hiking in the Sawtooths, rafting the Payette, fishing Stanley Lake or skiing one of the many close resorts in the winter, round out what is truly important about my Idaho lifestyle.
